Ballet is a formalized kind of performance dance, which originated in the Italian Renaissance courts of the 15th century, and which was further developed in France and Russia as a concert danceform. The early portions preceded the invention of the proscenium stage and were presented in large chambers with most of the audience seated on tiers or galleries on three sides of the dance floor. It has since become a highly technical form of dance with its own vocabulary. It is primarily performed with the accompaniment of classical music and has been influential as a form of dance globally. It is a poised style of dance that incorporates the foundational techniques for many other dance forms. This genre of dance is very hard to master and requires much practice. We, at Light Up The Floor, are pleased to be able to offer this dance form with a World Travelled Ballerina. Click here to see our BALLET SCHEDULE!
After graduating, she continued her Ballet studies, taking it to a professional level in The ENA (National School Of Higher Education in Havana). After spending 3 years in the school, she graduated once again with the Gold Title and two medals; one silver and one gold. She then auditioned for The National Ballet of Cuba, led by the Prima Ballerina Absolute Alicia Alonzo. She got accepted and joined the company. Aniela formed part of many famous dances as " La Fille Mal Gardee" , " The Nutcracker" , "Gisselle" "Coppellia" " The Sleeping Beauty" "Diana and Actaeon" "La Sylphide" "Flames de Paris" , " Swan Lake" , "Paquita", "Cinderella", "Le Papillon" , "Concert in Black and White" and "Romeo and Juliet" among others. She has traveled to many countries, such as Mexico, Italy, Spain, Brazil and Canada, and has successfully performed in all of these shows. She decided to stay in Canada, and dreams of, one day, creating her own Ballet Academy. |
